Why do I always have to be treated differently?

When it comes to Omare, he can do any freaking thing he wants. Hanging out with friends, going to parties, staying out late. Not a problem if it’s Omare. But me? The last time I went to a friends house, I had to beg my mom to stay out past 8:00, and I’m 17. When Omare goes on a mission trip, everything is paid for. When I go on a mission trip, my mom refuses to pay anything for it except $200 that originally I was going to have to pay her back for. And her excuses, “Omare’s a boy, Omare didn’t have any friends, so he needs to hang out with all the friends who actually want to, Omare’s barely two years older than you.” Too bad when he was my age, he still did and said anything he wanted. Too bad sex really isn’t an excuse to treat him differently. Too bad him having no friends was HIS fault then, cause he changed, and he has friends now. You might as well just say “Because Omare is my first child, and I like spoiling him, I let him do what he wants.” and she wonders why I don’t like being around him, or why I’m not going to college in Houston. It’s cause I can’t be around her or my brother for 5 minutes without wanting to punch something.
